How To Reach Beyond Procrastination
Do you sometimes feel that things you are striving to do are just out of your reach?
Maybe you have some self-doubt or fear creeping in? How do we move past this and become better than we were yesterday?
Recently I had some new challenges, which are never easy to embrace, especially when you are learning and moving outside of your own comfort zone. What comes first; procrastination, yes that’s right. We sit and think about how to approach something simply so that we do not have to take any action.
Why do we procrastinate?
Well, in short, the possibility of failure. How many times have you been ridden with fear that you might fail at what you are attempting to do? That terrible feeling in the pit of your stomach that makes you stop in your tracks. But I ask you, if you never try, isn’t that what failure really is?
When I was sitting and thinking about this over the course of the last few days I came to the conclusion that if we never try, if we never put ourselves out there to possibly succeed or fail; then we have failed. Whether we try and fail or we try and succeed; we have already succeeded, just from taking action. Failure is an opportunity for us to learn and grow, just as success is to be celebrated.
