Believe it or not, we are already halfway through the calendar year. Remember those resolutions you set for yourself last December? Well, most people forgot about those only a few weeks into the new year. For those of us still striving towards our goals, it’s a good idea to take stock of how you are doing.
Does finding your Tribe really matter?
Entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone.
It truly isn’t.
I’ve been married for 27 years, raised five kids, struggled financially, had partnerships burn to ashes and I can honestly say that being an entrepreneur has been one of the hardest things I have ever done.
For those of you that are entrepreneurs, you know what I mean.
We are on the lookout for great people to add to our Tribe!
How do you get better at those crucial conversations at work and at home? Pick your scenario: you have a board meeting to discuss company strategy, a team meeting to complete a project on deadline, a difficult conversation with your spouse, friend or boss. How do these conversations typically go? Well? Or do they end in some version of a fist-fight?
I bet you have been given many messages throughout your lifetime that are based on ‘lack’ mentality. You have most likely heard that success only comes to those who work really hard, go the extra mile and push things into being. Believe it or not, this way of thinking can be the epitome of scarcity.
Do you feel a sense of dread wash over you when your boss calls a meeting? What about when you are the boss and you know no one wants to be there? What can you do?
Did you know the words you choose influence, essentially, every area of your life? Your emotions, your relationships, even your level of success. Our words can be very powerful tools, or the source of our own self-sabotage.
Our society conditions us to value ourselves by our actions and accomplishments. We are taught to believe that our actions alone create success.
All You Ever Learned in Kindergarten Isn’t Enough
Don’t hit. Play fair. Say you’re sorry. Basically, be nice.
